Bayern Munich join PSG & Real Madrid in the race for Chelsea’s Rudiger

Entering the final year of his contract, Chelsea has started the negotiations with their star centre-back over a new contract with several elite clubs on alert to pursue the German’s signature for the next season.

According to

Goal

, Bayern have been in touch with Rudiger's agent and brother, Sahr Senesie, as Julian Nagelsmann's side consider the 28-year-old to be a good replacement for outgoing Niklas Sule.

Sule has entered the final year of his Bayern contract and has put extension talks on hold as he has not yet decided on his future.

It’s

been reported earlier

that Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are also monitoring Antonio Rudiger’s situation at Stamford Bridge.

Added to all the reports and talks about the experienced center-back’s future, the player himself has also talked about the talks he had with the club, insisting that his future has not been set yet.

Given his age, the 28-year-old defender himself is happy to stay in London but is aware that his next contract may well be his final big-money deal.

Germany international

Rudiger

has previously acknowledged talks over a new contract, revealing back in August:

"I said before that I wanted to concentrate on the Euros and when I come back, talks can start.

"That’s what has happened. Talks have begun so we will see what time brings."

However, should talks with Chelsea break down,

Rudiger will of course not be short of options

given the magnitude of the clubs monitoring his situation.
