The Poland international has attracted the attention of many clubs this summer, but he decided to remain put at Allianz Arena.

announced that "I don't have to prove myself in another league" after receiving the European Golden Shoe in 2020-21.

star has established himself as one of the best strikers, having made a name for himself t Borussia Dortmund before making a move to Bayern in 2014.

The 33-year-old has proven himself more useful this season at Allianz Arena. He met the back of the net 41 times in 29 games in Bundesliga last season, notwithstanding being out of action for a month due to injury.

The Polish frontman broke Gerd Muller’s record for the number of goals scored in one season of Bundesliga.

Lewandowski received the award on Tuesday and took the opportunity to insist that he is committed to Bayern after a summer of transfer speculation.

Premier League clubs like Chelsea were eyeing the frontman.


I don't have to prove myself in another league,"

said Lewandowski. 

"I can compete with the best from other leagues in the Champions League.

"I am 100 per cent focused on Bayern Munich, I don't think about anything else but my team."

Reports claim that Bayern may acquire Erling Haaland’s services as Lewandowski’s successor, but he assures that he has yet to hang up his boots.


I am still here - and I will be here for a long time!"

said Lewandowski.

"Age, these are just numbers. I feel very good, I have the best stats I've ever had. I know that with my body I can play at the top level for years to come. I'm like a good wine and I hope to get even better."

Lewandowski will feature against Furth in the Bundesliga on Friday.
