Lucas Torreira moved to Fiorentina

Arsenal’s Lucas Torreira has move to Fiorentina on a loan deal.

After spending one season at

Atletico Madrid

on loan,

Lucas Torreira

has made another loan move from

Arsenal

to

Fiorentina

and will spend this season in Serie A. The Uruguay international has joined the Gunners in 2018 and started his stay with great quality missing only four games in his first season, he had some impressive performances in the following season too, but with the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak, he was falling away from the starting lineup, which led to his loan transfer to Atletico Madrid.

During his time at Metropolitano Stadium, he helped

Diego Simeone’s

side in their path to winning the La Liga title, and now he has moved to Serie A to join Fiorentina, which has been only one of the clubs interested in signing the Uruguayan midfielder.

Another spell in Europe has been somehow a surprise as he had publicly stated that he would like to make a move away from European football and would prefer to join Boca Juniors, and he was so serious about his decision that his father asked the Gunners to let him go back to South America.

Torreira has been the fourth player to leave Emirates Stadium on loan in this transfer window after Matteo Guendouzi and William Saliba penned terms with Marseille for the year while goalkeeper Dejan Iliev has joined Slovakian side SKF Sered.
