Harry Kane: Tottenham striker continues his absence from training camp

The Spurs star was expected to return to his side’s pre-season camp on Monday.

Harry Kane

has been heavily linked with a move away from the Spurs in recent weeks. The England international was set to join the Spurs after a short holiday, but he was not present in his side’s training session on Monday.

According to

Goal.com

, Kane was also absent in his side’s training session on Tuesday. This further fuels the transfer rumors regarding Kane’s potential move to Manchester City. The Citizens are reportedly interested in adding the striker to their ranks ahead of the next season.

Kane has three years left on his current contract and the Spurs are not interested in selling their star striker. Manchester City reportedly

made a £100 million bid

for the player last month, which was rejected by the north London side.

Having spent his entire career at Tottenham, Kane is yet to win a trophy with the Spurs. The 28-year-old is reportedly eager to join a club where he is able to compete for silverware. In March, Kane admitted he might leave the Spurs if he feels the club cannot compete at the highest level.

"I love Spurs, I'll always love Spurs,"

the experienced frontman said.

"But I've always said, if I don't feel we're going in the right direction then I'm not someone who will just stay for the sake of it. I'm an ambitious player, I want to become one of the best players."

Tottenham will face Chelsea in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday. It remains to be seen whether Kane will be included in his side’s squad for their upcoming game.
