City to break English transfer record for Jack Grealish

The English star is one of Manchester City's main transfer targets.

Manchester City have stepped up their efforts to sign Aston Villa star Jack Grealish and have reportedly made a £100 million bid for the club.

Pep Guardiola is a Grealish fan, and this summer he has chosen Harry Kane and Grealish as his main transfer targets. Manchester City started negotiations with Villa on Thursday and they are confident that they can reach an agreement. According to the

Telegraph

, City have made an offer of £100 million, which will be in the British transfer record.

If the offer is accepted, the previous record of Paul Pogba's transfer to United for 89 million pounds in 2016 will be broken. Dean Smith, on the other hand, insists on keeping his star so he can do better next season. But unlike Smith, the Villa owners have reacted positively to City's offer and will give him the green light if negotiations become more serious.

City, on the other hand, are looking to sign Harry Kane, who will pay the same amount for the club. It remains to be seen whether Guardiola can achieve both of his transfer goals for next season.
