Sassuolo will only sell Locatelli if the price is right

Playing a key role in Italy’s Euro 2020 triumph, Manuel Locatelli impressed at Euro 2020 with Italy, meeting the target twice against Switzerland, which earned him interest from Juventus, Arsenal, and Borussia Dortmund.

It’s been reported earlier

that in addition to the Serie A giants, Liverpool is now seriously considering a move for the 23-year-old midfielder.

As quoted by

Football Italia

Sassuolo’s

Director,

Giovanni Carnevali

, has discussed the interest in their players and insists that they are an ambitious club that would only sell if the offer is right for them.

“It’s not just Locatelli, but many lads in our team like Berardi, Boga and Raspadori who are liked by many clubs. It’s flattering, as it means we have strong players,”

Carnevali said.

“Our philosophy will not change, we must continue to build a team that can achieve good results and also keep an eye on the balance sheets.

“Many of our players have offers, but Sassuolo are an ambitious club and won’t sell unless there is a suitable offer. Otherwise, they can remain and continue their growth process with us.”

In addition to Locatelli,

Berardi

has also been

linked with major Premier League clubs

such as Liverpool and Tottenham after his brilliant performances in Serie A and Euro 2020. However, Carnevali hopes to maintain their current symbol: "Berardi is our symbol, we have a deep bond with him.

"He is doing extraordinary things. He has shown his values and the decisions over the years where he gave up on big clubs were not bad choices.

"We hope to keep him. It is not easy to do, even with him."
