The Blaugrana president revealed that all the players they have approached tried their best to help the club get out of their current salary problem.

However, as things are at the moment,

may not be able to offer

Lionel Messi

a new deal or register their four new signings as they are over the La Liga wage cap.

To fix that problem, they have to cash in on at least one of their biggest earners, while trying to reduce other players’ salaries.

Reports claim that Barca have approached

Sergi Roberto

Gerard Pique

Sergio Busquets

Jordi Alba

to ask them for a wage cut, while they will offer

Ousmane Dembele

a new deal with a salary cut.

Other reports claim that Alba is a tough nut to crack for the Catalans as he is holding out over his current contract.

Joan Laporta

insisted that is not the case, telling Mundo Deportivo:

“All the players in the team are helping with the salaries.”
