Atletico Madrid has talked about Griezmann’s possible transfer to his former club.
Following the speculations and reports about
possible return toAtletico Madrid
, the La Liga’s reigning champions’ president has talked about the player admitting that everything is possible.
The reports suggest that
is looking for a swap deal, but Enrique Cerezo says that he can’t confirm anything yet, although they are expected to have activity in the transfer market if they are to defend their title.
The Atletico president is ruling nothing out, and told reporters at the Platino Awards of the Griezmann rumors: "
I have no idea, they haven't told me anything, I don't know anything.
"I do not know how the negotiations are, not even if there are any, but there is time left for you to know what is going to happen. In the world of football everything is possible but in the Griezmann's case I have no idea, nor have I asked."
It has been suggested that
could be involved in the possible deal between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, although Liverpool and Manchester United have also shown interest in signing the Spain international. Cerezo has also claimed that he doesn’t have any decisions on Saul’s case.
"A lot of people will ask about all the players, as always, but in this case I don't know if Liverpool has acted. We do have a technical service that deals with this very well and will be aware of everything."
Despite the uncertainty on Griezmann and Saul’s future, Cerezo is not considering any offers for the club’s 21-year-old star Joao Felix, although there have been some suggestions about possible offers for the Portugal international.
Cerezo said: "Joao is an Atletico Madrid player, has a long-term contract and is one of the leading figures in European football."
