Selling Griezmann and Coutinho will save €100m for Barca

Selling Griezmann and Coutinho will save Barca €100m on the wages.

Barcelona

has been dealing with a financial crisis, and they will do anything to reduce their wage bill to reach La Liga’s salary cap and be able to have some activity in the transfer market and, meanwhile, they are trying all they can to sign a new contract with the club’s Argentinian star

Lionel Messi

they have already put some players like Matheus Fernandes and youngsters like Konrad de la Fuente and Francisco Trincao aside to help their purpose.

Now the reports suggest that the club has been forced to consider selling bigger names, and

Antoine Griezmann

and

Philippe Coutinho

are the first players on the Catalans’ transfer list, and if they sell them, they can reduce €100m of their wage bill for the next year.

The France international who joined Barcelona from Atletico Madrid with a five-year contract has been an important player at Camp Nou, but the financial situation has forced the club to show interest in selling him.

Philippe Coutinho has been a disappointing signing for the club since his arrival from Liverpool in 2018, and maybe he would be on their transfer list even if they didn’t have to.

Martin Braithwaite

may be the next player forced out of Camp Nou, considering his performance and the club’s situation.
