Spanish giants will face each other on October 24 and March 20 in La Liga’s 2021-22 season as they aim to take the crown from
Atletico Madrid
, who has been trying to end
Barcelona
and
Real Madrid’s
domination in Spain football.
The old rivals finished their last campaign behind Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid, and now both sides will be looking for some improvements and reinforcements to take the domestic crown back from Atletico Madrid.
The new teams who have been promoted to Spain’s first-tier are Espanyol, Mallorca, and Rayo Vallecano.
The new season will kick off on August 15, where Real Madrid faces Alaves in an away match, and Barcelona will host Real Sociedad, and Atletico Madrid will be facing Celta Vigo in an away game.
Real Madrid and Barcelona will face each other at Camp Nou in the first El Clasico, and Madrid’s derby will be on December 12 at Santiago Bernabeu, and the next one will be on May 8 at Wanda Metropolitano.
Atletico Madrid will have a hard job defending the title as both Real Madrid and Barcelona will try their best to stop Simeone’s men from repeating their first La Liga championship since 2014.
