Deschamps won’t change his lineup for Euros

France’s head coach will announce his squad for Euro 2020 soon and it won’t be a surprising one.

Les Blues

are going to play in the European Championship as one of the title contenders after winning the World Cup 2018, and their boss

Deschamps

is not going to surprise the supporters with his squad.

One of the best players that will stay away from his national team is Real Madrid’s star Karim Benzema.

Deschamps has been using a settled squad in different competitions, and he insists that it is his job to bring good results, not to surprise people with his decisions.

“I am not Santa Claus, I am not here to announce surprises,”

Deschamps told

Kicker

.<em>

"I am fine-tuning it little by little. I have players who, like Bayern Munich's Corentin Tolisso, are still recovering, and I do not yet have all the information on their condition.”

He will announce his squad on May 18, and some of the players will play for their clubs after that because the season will not end before the Champions League final on May 29, and the coach must be aware of the danger of injury.

“I will announce my squad on May 18th, but there are matches after that,”

Deschamps said.

“I will have players who will participate in the two European cup finals.

“Hopefully everything will turn out well, because unfortunately we cannot avoid the unexpected.

“The only list that matters is the one we send to UEFA on June 1 at midnight."
