William Jose joins Wolves on loan with a buy option

Wolves’ manager has recruited a new striker to his squad for the remainder of the season.

Wolverhampton Wanderers

boss

Nuno Espirito Santo

has signed a loan contract with

Real Sociedad

’s

William Jose

, adding an option to buy him when the campaign ends.

The 29-year-old will join Wolves on a six-month loan contract for sealing his work permit.

Having Raul Jimenez out of action due to a fractured skull since November, Santo was desperately looking for a new striker.

The Brazilian will face competition with Silva to earn a regular start and will probably make his debut on Wednesday when Wolves are set to fight

Chelsea

in the

Premier League

.

Last season, Jose contributed to Sociedad finishing sixth in

La Liga

, with the scoring tally of 11 in 37 games. This season, however, he hasn’t got off on the right foot as he only managed to meet the back of the net three times in 13 appearances. He will contribute more than goals to his new side, as his talent in occupying defenders through his presence is what Wolves need right now.

Wolves have not been running on a rich form lately as they have only come out winners once in their last eight Premier League matches which put them 14th on the table.

The fans are hoping Jose will turn things around for the cub, as Santo’s side are also fighting to get into the FA Cup final. They have entered the fifth round by defeating Chorley and are getting prepared to face either

Southampton

or

Arsenal

in the next stage.
