Borussia Mönchengladbach have signed midfielder Kouadio 'Manu' Kone from Toulouse.

Borussia Mönchengladbach

have signed

Kouadio 'Manu' Kone

on a four-year deal and then have loaned him back to

Toulouse

for the remainder of the 2020/21 season.

"Kouadio Kone is a really interesting player, who we have been following for some time now for the French youth national teams and his club FC Toulouse," Gladbach sporting director

Max Eberl

said. "He's a huge talent who has been monitored by top clubs from across Europe. We're delighted that he has chosen to join Borussia Mönchengladbach and the Bundesliga."

Kone was promoted to the Toulouse first-team last season as the club was relegated from Ligue 1. In 2020/21, Kone, 19, has become a set part of the club’s first-team squad in Ligue 2.

"I'm really happy to be here," Kone said. "I was really interested to join Borussia. I think I can develop a lot here and want to learn a lot.”
