Guardiola on their January transfer plans

The Blues boss has no intention of adding up to his squad despite being in need of a centre-forward.

Manchester City

manager,

Pep Guardiola

, revealed that they have no plans to sign new players in the current transfer season. The Blues, who had a slow start in the current season, are currently two points adrift form the Premier League leaders,

Manchester United

, with one game at hand.

City currently have the best defensive run in the

Premier League

as they continue to compete for all European and domestic titles.

Still despite their strong defensive-line, the Blues seem to have little options to place in their centre-forward position, but Guardiola insists that he has no intention of adding up to his men.

“We will not sign any deal during the winter transfer market,”

he said.

"We did not discuss this, but we will end the season with the players that we have now.”

Sergio Aguero

’s fitness struggles in the current season has led the Spaniard to place

Gabriel Jesus

and Liam Delap in the centre-forward position while using

Kevin de Bruyne

or

Raheem Sterling

as "false nines".
