Marcelo Gallardo’s Message to Al-Ittihad Jeddah Fans

The Admiral’s Battle for Brilliance and Regaining Championships

After the team faced accusations due to its weak performance recently, Marcelo Gallardo, the Argentine coach of Al-Ittihad Jeddah team, decided to speak to the club’s fans to deliver an important message. Despite not achieving the best results recently, as the team has not won any championship yet, it still hopes to win the King’s Cup to save its stumbling season.

Al-Ittihad Jeddah succeeded in achieving a significant victory over Al-Hazm Club, which occupies the last place in the Saudi League table, with a score of 3-2 in the match that took place on Saturday, within the 28th round of the league.

In the press conference that followed the match, Gallardo said: “I want to repeat once again that the current period is very difficult, and we realize the right of our fans to express their anger, and I fully understand that, but I hope they continue to support the team, as we have the opportunity to achieve some of the goals we have set.”

The Argentine coach added: “I am doing my best to achieve the outlined goals, and I want the fans to know that I hold myself and the team strictly accountable.”

Regarding the Al-Hazm match, he said: “It was a very difficult match, and we faced many difficulties during it, despite our good start and scoring two goals, but we were not able to maintain the lead, and the team’s performance was fluctuating, but the most important thing is that we were able to win and get the three points, which contributes to the competition for the third place in the league.”

Al-Ittihad Jeddah occupies the fourth place in the league table with 50 points, and despite its failure to compete for the title, the team is still striving to obtain the third place that qualifies it to participate in the Asian Champions League.

Gallardo concluded his statements by confirming that Hamed Al-Ghamdi is not injured, but he is not in the best physical condition to participate in the matches.
