Chapters from the Super Drama: The Fan’s Story

Reconciliation and Chivalry: When Characters Cross Paths in Fields of Anger and Reconciliation

The incident that occurred during the final match of the Saudi Super Cup between the teams of Al-Ittihad Jeddah and Al-Hilal was witnessed, where one of the fans of the Al-Ittihad Jeddah team was assaulted by the team’s striker AbdeRazzak Hamdallah, and this incident witnessed a new development in the events.

The fan had directed some words to the Moroccan star, which prompted the latter to sprinkle water on him, and as a result, the fan hit him with a stick, and the players and officials intervened to intervene and calm the situation.

Things escalated to the point of reaching the police in the Emirates, where the match was held.

As Hamdallah said last Friday: “I decided to give up, and this does not mean weakness but generosity and chivalry on my part, as I understand the circumstances of others and it is possible that the fan is going through difficult circumstances, and for this reason I decided to give up.”

On his side, the fan Faisal Al-Aboud responded to Hamdallah’s statements, announcing through his account on the X platform: “I am the fan who was assaulted by Hamdallah… We as Saudis are characterized by chivalry and tolerance, and the case was resolved by the concession of both parties, and not his concession to me… And my concession to him was also a reaction of chivalry and generosity from me.”

And he concluded by saying: “The cameras showed the assault by him, and what I did was a reaction to what I was subjected to!”.
