Celebrated Striker Joins Bay FC for a Fresh Challenge in the NWSL After Five Years with Barcelona

The former football player, who previously played for Arsenal and Liverpool, has opted to trade her position with the Catalan giants for a Californian club, signing a contract with Bay FC until 2026, with the possibility of extending for an additional season.

After spending five years with Barcelona, initially joining on loan in January 2019, the player, now 29 years old, has decided to venture into a new chapter in the United States. In an interview with the Attacking Third podcast, she explained her departure, expressing a desire for change, seeking a different experience, and embracing the opportunity presented by Bay FC's project.

Founded in April 2023, Bay FC is gearing up for their inaugural National Women's Soccer League campaign, set to commence in March with a match against fellow Californian side Angel City FC.
