Thrilling Draw in Iraqi Premier League: Al-Kahraba Holds Norouz 1-1
In a captivating match held at the Sulaymaniyah International Stadium, Al-Kahraba secured a dramatic 1-1 draw against the host team Norouz in the eighth round of the Iraqi Premier League.
Norouz took the lead with a penalty goal scored by Mohamed Sami in the 16th minute. The match witnessed intense moments, and Al-Kahraba managed to secure the equalizer in the 90+1 minute through a goal from Denis Titi.
The game was marked by two red cards for Al-Kahraba players. Saif Hatem was sent off in the 28th minute for an altercation with Norouz player Mohamed Dlawar. Another red card was shown to Mohamed Salam in the 72nd minute, further complicating matters for Al-Kahraba.
The absence of eight key players from Al-Kahraba added to the challenges of the match. Coach Luay Salah decided to send them early to Basra in preparation for the crucial encounter against Syria's Al-Ittihad Aleppo in the final round of the AFC Cup.
With this draw, Norouz moved up to 11 points, securing the eighth position, while Al-Kahraba reached 8 points, placing them in the 13th position in the Iraqi Premier League standings.
