"I deserve the Ballon d'Or," says Kylian Mbappe

After Argentina's victory in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Lionel Messi is considered the favorite for the Ballon d'Or award, but Kylian Mbappe believes he can win the Ballon d'Or. Mbappe scored a hat-trick in the World Cup final, but ultimately France lost to

Kilian Mbappe has reportedly told TF1 that he has a chance of winning the Ballon d'Or:

“The Ballon d'Or? It's always difficult to talk about an individual trophy, because you have to put yourself forward. It's something that doesn't necessarily go down well with the general public"

"Do I deserve the Ballon d'Or? With the new criteria, what counts? Catching the eye, scoring goals and making an impact? I think I fit those criteria. I'd say yes, but it's the people who vote and I'm always optimistic.”

Mbappe won Ligue 1 with Paris Saint-Germain last season. However, they were eliminated from the Champions League after losing to Bayern Munich.

Mbappe has a contract with Paris Saint-Germain until 2024, but his future is still uncertain.
