Rodri: " A dream come true"

With his goal, Rodri helped

win the Champions League title. His goal was the only one scored in a tense final against Inter, and it proved to be the difference as Manchester City claimed its first-ever European title. Rodri's contribution, along with the efforts of his teammates, was crucial in achieving this historic milestone for the club.

Rodri, who scored the goal for City in the 68th minute, said to BT Sport after the game:

“Emotional. A dream come true. All these guys around here waited I don’t know how many years. They deserve, we deserve. The last years we were so close. I just want to thank everyone." he said.

“We want more. More ambition. It’s a dream. This moment will never happen again. We hope next year but we deserve to celebrate."

Rodri wasn't included in the starting lineup for the 2021 Champions League final, but tonight he was able to contribute to Manchester City's title by scoring a goal.
