Arsenal begin negotiations with Cancelo
Arsenal announced the opening of negotiations with the Manchester City player
announced the opening of the door to negotiations to include a heavy-caliber deal in order to support its ranks and compete for titles in the next season of the English Premier League.
A source close to the club stated that Arsenal had started initial negotiations with
Manchester Cityplayer
Joao Cancelo, who played on loan in the second half of last season with
Bayern Munich.
Cancelo does not seem to be on his way to staying in the ranks of Manchester City due to his disagreement with Spanish coach Pep Guardiola.
The value of the penalty clause in Cancelo's contract with Manchester City is 60 million pounds sterling, and Bayern Munich does not seem willing to obtain the services of the Portuguese national team star permanently.
He added that there are verbal negotiations between the two parties, but Arsenal is having difficulty convincing Cancelo, who wants to move to La Liga.
Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta knows the potential of the Portuguese player seriously, having worked with him when he was Guardiola's assistant at Manchester City.
It was also stated that Manchester City is not interested in loaning Cancelo again and wants to get rid of the player permanently, as he set a price for selling him at 43 million pounds sterling.
