Spalletti: "I’ll be off for a year"

Spalletti will leave Napoli.

Luciano Spalletti, who led

Napoli

to win the Serie A, announced that he will leave the team at the end of the current season. He also stated that he has chosen to take a break for the next season.

“Sometimes, even with so much love, you have to leave. Now, I’m not able to give everything that Napoli deserves. I need to rest. I feel tired. I need to disconnect for a while. I won’t coach Napoli or any other team, I’ll be off for a year,”

He said.

Luciano Spalletti succeeded in leading Napoli to win the Serie A title, after 30 years. He led the team's players to achieve this great success and brought them to the top of the league.

De Laurentiis, president of Napoli, talked about Spalletti's departure:

“When someone comes to you and says that he has done all he can and an era of his life has concluded… He told me that he would prefer to have a sabbatical year. What do you do then? Do you oppose it?

Napoli are looking for a replacement for Spalletti.
