Tottenham 2-0 Chelsea: Graham Potter’s Nightmare Continues!

Tottenham hosted Chelsea in a Premier League London derby on Sunday with both of the clubs suffering poor form and looking to bounce back. It was the Spurs that defeated their rivals with a 2-0 result at home.

Tottenham needed a late goal from Harry Kane to rescue a point in the reverse fixture that ended 2-2 at Stamford Bridge with Thomas Tuchel in charge of the Blues at the time. Now sitting in the fifth place, a victory over the ill-formed Blues could send them back to the top four over Newcastle United, who plays Manchester United in the EFL Cup final this week.

The first half was tense as neither of the sides couldn't provide a goal-scoring opportunity. The best chance of the half was for Tottenham where Hojberg hit the woodwork. Ziyech escaped a red card late in the half as VAR changed it to a yellow card.

Just after the game restarted, Oliver Skipp scored for the Spurs in the 46th minute through a rebound after Kepa saved Emerson's shot. It was Skipp's first-ever goal for the club.

With Chelsea unable to provide an equalizer, Harry Kane doubled Tottenham's lead in the 82nd-minute steering in Eric Dier's header from a corner.
