Zaniolo’s mom claims that his son was willing to accept lower wages to sign for Milan or Tottenham

With the former Roma starlet now a Galatasaray player, his mother has begun revealing what happened in January.

Nicolo Zaniolo’s mother has revealed some interesting information about Zaniolo’s turbulent January transfer window.

With Zaniolo now a

Galatasaray

player, his mother has revealed that his son was angling towards a Milan and Spurs move. Interestingly, she revealed that his son also accepted a deal from Bournemouth but it was too late.

Zaniolo’s mother, Francesca Costa has said that Zaniolo accepted Bournemouth’s offer but by that time they had already secured the loan signing of Hamed Traore from Sassuolo.

"I want to clarify one thing, Nicolo would have reduced his salary or would have asked for the same money as at Roma for a move to Milan or Tottenham, but those clubs didn't find an agreement with Roma,"

Costa told Corriere dello Sport.

"At that point there was Bournemouth... Later, he accepted Bournemouth's offer, but when we called them back they had already taken another player."

The 23-year-old

Zaniolo

finally joined Galatasaray for a fee of €16.5million with significant add-ons. There is also a release clause for Serie A clubs around €35million that can be activated in the summer.
