World Cup Golden Boot winner
Kylian Mbappewas seen training with PSG on Monday which has raised PSG’s hopes that he might figure in their side when they face Bayern Munich on Tuesday.
The Frenchman picked up a hamstring injury in PSG’s 3-1 victory over Montpellier at the very start of the month. PSG have had a run of losses ever since, losing three of their last 7 matches.
Despite Mbappe training, Galtier has emphasized caution when it comes to naming Mbappe in his squad for Tuesday. Although, Bayern Munich boss Julian Nagelsmann thinks this is all a show and PSG are “playing poker” in regards to Mbappe’s availability.
Mbappe’s inclusion in Tuesday’s match could be huge for PSG. The 24-year-old has had 57 direct goal contributions in the Champions League for PSG ever since 2017. He has scored 34 goals and assisted 23, with no other player having had 20+ goals and assists in that period.
Despite his absence from PSG’s 3-1 loss to Monaco,
Lionel Messiis also available for the last-16 clash against Bayern as confirmed by Galtier.
