Jesse Marsch sacked by Leeds United

Leeds United’s American manager, Jesse Marsch has been sacked from his position at the club after fans turned on him following their recent poor form

Jesse Marsch has been sacked from Leeds United, with him being less than a year in charge of Leeds United.

Marsch took over in February 2022 after Bielsa was fired and helped the club barely fight off relegation in the last day to finish 17th. The situation hasn’t gotten better this season, with Leeds losing key players like Raphinha and Kalvin Philips.

The club has spent £129million in the transfer market this season, with the acquisition of the likes of Rutter, Wober and McKennie. But

Leeds

are currently avoiding relegation zone just because of goal difference, being level on points with Everton with 18 points out of 20 matches.

Marsch’s side hasn’t won a game since before the World Cup, which saw them defeat Bournemouth 4-3. Their recent loss against Nottingham Forest happened with a section of fans even booing Marsch at the end of the match.

Currently, it isn’t clear who’ll take Marsch’s job but with a double-header against Manchester United, their situation could get a lot worse before it gets any better.
