Marcus Rashford was named Premier League Player of the Month for January

Scoring three goals and contributing one assist through four Premier League games last month, Marcus Rashford is awarded the January Premier League Player of the Month. Rashford previously won the award earlier in September.

also scored the opener in United's 3-2 defeat to Arsenal, bagging three goals in the first month of the new year. The England international also scored a further four goals and claimed two assists in cup competitions in January.

Being named the Premier League Player of the Month for January, Rashford Equals Rooney and Ronaldo's record for winning the trophy for a second time in the same campaign. Ruud van Nistelrooy, Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie, Ryan Giggs, Bruno Fernandes, De Gea and Ronaldo have all had the honor of winning the trophy more than once in a single campaign.

Rashford has scored 17 goals in 28 matches and is United's top scorer this season. Although his contract was set to expire at the end of the season, Manchester United recently triggered a one-year extension clause in his contract.
