Allegri praises match-winner Milik following Juventus’ last-gasp win over Cremonese

Allegri praised Milik for his winner against Cremonese while claiming that Juve doesn’t need to buy new players since “Young players are improving”.

Juventus edges out a win against Cremonese with a Milik free-kick which keeps their run of wins going. The Bianconeri boss Max Allegri was full of praises for Milik following their victory and he also talked about Juve’s plans for January transfer window.

Talking about the match, Allegri told DAZN:

“We knew about difficulties, Cremonese are a team that presses and runs and we made many technical errors. It’s a nice victory, one more step forward.

“The guys did well in the first half, Milik scored a great goal, but it wasn’t easy to win. It’s not easy to face Cremonese.”

Allegri went on to give an update on World Cup stars

and Di Maria who both missed the game, saying:

“He had played the World Cup Final, there were too many players without enough playing time in their legs.

“Iling had a good impact, it’s important to have these sorts of players ready to come in, especially now with a game every four days.”

“Di Maria trained today and it seems that he is feeling better. He has extraordinary quality, and hopefully, he will be available Pogba is also improving, like Vlahovic and Cuadrado, there are still five months remaining.”

getting a new board of directors on January 18, there were questions raised about Juve’s January transfer plans, to which Allegri replied:

“I think the club built an important team, but there are a few players injured at the moment.

“Many young players are improving, we must be happy knowing that was can still improve. In terms of team depth, we are ok.

“I believe in the club, I cooperate with Cherubini, and he keeps me updated on players, the market is useful if we need it, if not, it’s useless to change. Our team is ok as it is.”
