Potter is proud of Reece James after overcoming the World Cup snub

Returning to Premier League action on Tuesday against Bournemouth, Graham Potter revealed that Reece James has recovered from the knee injury that caused him to miss the World Cup.

Reece James

was substituted during

Chelsea

's 2-0 Champions League victory against Milan in October as the Blues announced later that the right-back will undertake a two-month "rehabilitation course”, forcing him to miss the 2022 World Cup.

Chelsea's boss

Graham Potter

is proud of James' reaction to the disappointment. He told reporters ahead of their Premier League return against

Bournemouth

:

"I have to say he is in a good mood, he is in a good place. He has trained with us, is training well and is a good team-mate. He has dealt with it well. He is missing the World Cup. What can I say? All I can do is acknowledge that it is upsetting, that whatever he is feeling is normal and help him move forwards.

"It was a challenging period for him. It was a challenging period for all the players. You have to think on some level there is an effect there. They're only human."

The Blues boss revealed

N’golo Kante

will be out until February while Wesley Fofana has suffered a setback.
