Rangers Steven Davis out with injury for the rest of the season

Midfielder Steven Davis may have played his last game for Rangers as his contract ends in the upcoming summer while his injury will keep him out until then.

who has been at the club since 2019 may have very well played his last game for the Gers as a knee injury is ought to keep him out of action for the rest of the season. Coincidentally, his contract at Ibrox runs until then with no apparent extension talks planned.

The club released an official statement, which read:

"Rangers can this afternoon confirm that midfielder Steven Davis has suffered an injury to his knee and will miss the remainder of this season.

"As always Steven has the best wishes of everyone at Ibrox as he embarks upon his recovery."

Davis had appeared in 17 matches for Rangers this season, mostly as a substitute though. However, the Northern Ireland captain was a massive player for Rangers as he made 360 appearances for them over two spells, registering 27 goals and 70 assists.

, Davis is a Premier League veteran as well, playing for the likes of Aston Villa, Fulham and Southampton.
