Chelsea appoint Christopher Vivell as technical director
Former RB Leipzig director Christopher Vivell has been appointed as the new technical director of Chelsea.
confirmed on Wednesday that they have appointed Christopher Vivellv as their new technical director.
Vivell was responsible for recruitment and scouting across all age groups for
Leipzigsince the summer of 2020. Vivell also has been RB Salzburg’s head of scouting and recruitment and first-team scout at Hoffenheim.
During his time at Leipzig, the 35-year-old Vivell played key role in the signing of players like Josko Gvardiol, Andre Silva, and Angelino.
Vivell said:
"Chelsea are building the most exciting project in global football and I’m extremely proud to be joining the club. There is so much potential for the club to continue to succeed, develop and grow.
