Pele is being moved to end-of-life medical facility

It is being reported that Brazil legend Pele is now being moved to an end-of-life care facility after chemotherapy failed to improve his condition

Reports in Brazil claim that Pele has been moved to a palliative care facility after several procedures to remove a tumor from his colon have failed to produce the desired results.

The three-time World Cup winner has been in and out of facilities since his surgery last year and was again hospitalized last week with her daughter shooting down any concern saying it was “no surprise or emergency” and he himself saying it is a “monthly visit”.

It is now being reported by Folha de Sao Paulo that Pele’s chemotherapy doesn’t seem to be working and he will now move to a palliative end-of-life facility which will see him receive pain-relieving care.

The 82-year-old recently wished

a good tournament in an Instagram post, saying: "

Today we start writing a new story. No matter the size and tradition of the opponents: we must respect and play each match with the focus of a final.

"It is important to play beautifully, yes, but it is also essential to leave everything on the pitch.

"Today, we will be more than 200 million hearts beating as one, vibrating with each achievement of our Selecao.

"I am sending all positive energies to you. I'm sure we'll have a happy ending. God bless you. Bring this trophy home!"
