Cameroon 3-3 Serbia: Indomitable Lions make incredible comeback in six-goal thriller

Cameroon came back from a 3–1 deficit in the second half to earn a point against Serbia in a thrilling draw.

The draw ended a run of eight consecutive World Cup defeats for the African side. Both

Cameroon

and

Serbia

who lost their first matches now have one point.

Brazil and Switzerland will face each other later on Monday. Cameroon will play

Brazil

in their final match and Serbia faces Switzerland on Friday.

Serbia came close to scoring in the 10th minute but Mitrovic's strike smashed the post. He had another good opportunity just a few minutes later but this time sent his effort wide.

Cameroon opened the scoring in the 29th minute through Castelletto. Tolo’s corner was flicked toward Castelletto who flew the ball into the back of the net from close range.

Pavlovic equalized for Serbia in the 45th minute with a header from Tadic’s free-kick. Serbia scored another goal just two minutes later. Zivkovic passed the ball to Milinkovic-Savic who was outside the box and he send the ball into the bottom corner.

Mitrovic scored the third goal for Serbia in the 53rd minute. Milinkovic-Savic cleverly cut inside his man and played the ball across to Mitrovic

for a simple finish.

Aboubaker scored for Cameroon just eight minutes after coming on the pitch. Castelletto’s long ball found him behind the defense and he scored with a chip over the goalkeeper.

Just two minutes later, Cameroon scored another goal to equalize. Aboubaker who changed the game since coming on, sent the ball across to Chopo-Moting who slammed it in, from close range.
