Morocco 0-0 Croatia: The Atlas Lions holds Modric and co to goalless draw

The 2018 runners-up Croatia was held to a goalless draw by Morocco at Al Bayt Stadium on Wednesday.

Belgium

and Canada will face each other in another game of Group F later on Wednesday.

Croatia

will face Canada in their next game on Sunday and

Morocco

will play Belgium.

The first big chance of the match was for Morocco in the 18th minute. Ziyech sent a cross toward the far post but En-Nesyri who was in a great position could not make any contact with the header and the ball went wide.

Croatia had a good chance in the 45th minute but the goalkeeper denied it. Sosa sent a dangerous cross into the six-yard box and Vlasic took it the first time, but the keeper saved it.

Croatia has more possession in the first half, but didn’t really get going until the stoppage time at the end of the half. Morocco looked dangerous going forward but failed to test Croatia's keeper.

Morocco could score in the 51st minute but Mazraoui's header was saved by Dominik Livakovic. Croatia's best chance in the second half came in the 80th minute but Gvardiol's header went wide.

The game finished goalless between Morocco and Croatia. There wasn’t much to split the sides. Both of them had just shots on target in the game. Croatia had the better of the first half chances and Morocco had more chance in the second half.
