Matthaus calls Jamal Musiala ‘like Messi’

The German youngster has been outstanding for club and country this season which has led to Lothar Matthaus comparing him to Lionel Messi

Jamal Musiala made history tonight as he became the youngest

Bayern Munich

player ever in the Bundesliga era to reach 100 appearances for the club (aged 19 years and 259 days).

He capped off this historic moment by providing two assists in Bayern’s 2-0 win over Schalke, which has led to a very excited Lothar Matthaus comparing Musiala to Lionel Messi after the match.

"That's like Messi. That's Hollywood. He must never leave Bayern,"

he said.

"He always has to play. His value is a quarter of a billion."

Musiala has been involved in 20 direct goal contributions this season, which is more than any other German players this season.

Both Julian Nagelsmann and Manuel Neuer praised the young attacker, claiming that he will have an important part to play in Germany’s 2022 World Cup tournament.

Musiala

and Germany will be facing Japan as their first match in Group E on November 23.
