Manchester United draw Barcelona in Europa League play-off

The draw for the 2022/23 Europa League play-off round took place at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, on Monday.

Manchester United

will face

Barcelona

in the biggest match of the round. Ten Hag’s side finished second in their Europe League group and Barcelona dropped into the

Europe League

after finishing third in their Champions League group.

Jose Mourinho's Roma also finished second in their Europa League group and will face Salzburg. Juventus finished third in their Champions League group and was drawn against Nantes in the Europa League play off round. Sevilla who is the most successful team in this competition's history with six titles will play PSV Eindhoven.

The first legs of the last play off round will be played on February 16, 2023, and the return legs will be played on February 23.

  • Sporting Lisbon vs FC Midtjylland

  • Shakhtar Donetsk vs Rennes

  • Ajax vs Union Berlin

  • Bayer Leverkusen vs Monaco

  • Sevilla vs PSV

  • RB Salzburg vs Roma

The winners of the ties will go into the last 16 along with other teams which includes Arsenal. The draw for the Europe League Round of 16 will take place on February 24, 2023, and games will be played on March 9 and March 16.

Lastly, the final at the Puskas Arena in Budapest will take place on May 31.
