The legendary Bayern Munich keeper, Manuel Neuer reveals he has undergone 3 operations for skin cancer

The 36-year-old

Manuel Neuer

who has been out of Bayern’s side recently has chosen to disclose some of his medical information while promoting a skincare range he has been a part of.

The German goalkeeper alongside three-time tennis grand slam champion Angelique Kerber have launched a new skincare range called “Newkee”. Aside from the financial reasons, Neuer has disclosed his personal reasons for the venture as well.

It seems that Neuer has undergone 3 different operations for skin cancer with the timeframe of the operations being unclear.

"We both have a very personal history of skin diseases. In Angelique's case it's sun-related hyperpigmentation,"

Neuer told the press.

"In my case it's skin cancer on my face, which I've already had to have operated on three times."

It has to be mentioned that Neuer’s latest injury is unrelated as it is a shoulder injury, keeping him out of the Bayern’s side since October 8. However, Neuer has been back to training to the delight of Bayern Munich and Germany fans.

Nuer would be a great asset to Hansi Flick’s Germany in the World Cup at the end of the month as well as helping

Bayern

catch up with Bundesliga’s current leaders, Union Berlin.
