Richarlison in World Cup doubt after suffering an injury

Richarlison had to leave Saturday's game between Tottenham and Everton because he seemed to hurt his leg.

The Brazilian suffered an injury early in the second half of the Premier League match against his previous team and was replaced by Yves Bissouma after 52 minutes.

Richarlison

exited the field by walking straight down the tunnel.

As the World Cup approaches, the attacker hopes the injury is not too severe. The 25-year-old is vying for a spot in

Brazil

's squad for the upcoming tournament, and it appears increasingly probable that he will play a starting position.

Spurs coach

Antonio Conte

said after the game: "We don’t know, we hope it is not so serious he felt a problem in his calf. He will have an MRI to understand it tomorrow, we hope it is not serious."

Conte will hope Richarlison's injury is not serious so he can use him in the October 19 match against

Manchester United

at Old Trafford.
