Kroos demand full apology from UEFA for CL final chaos

The German star's wife was among the people who tried to enter the stadium to watch the Champions League final.

Toni Kroos has demanded a full apology from UEFA for the incidents outside the Stade de France during the Champions League final.

Earlier, UEFA apologized for the "terrible and tragic" events that took place before the start of the Champions League final between Real Madrid and Liverpool. The start of the game was delayed twice due to security reasons, and a large number of fans were waiting outside the stadium for conditions to enter. Footage showed police using tear gas to disperse fans, and Kroos' wife Jessica was among those outside the stadium trying to enter. Uefa blamed fans who tried to enter without tickets, but Kroos insisted that Uefa should issue a full apology.

Jorg Jakob from kicker Asked:

"Should UEFA apologise to the fans for what happened in the Paris final?"

Kroos answered:

"I don't know if the investigations have already been closed, but I do think it's time for them to apologise.

"My wife spent two hours at the gates of the stadium with the children. Her feeling is that there was no aggressiveness on the part of the fans of the two clubs.

"What's more: they were very considerate, because there were many children in the crowd.

"Shortly before taking the field, I received a message on my mobile that reassured me: everyone had entered the stadium without any problems. The question only deserves a yes."
