Allegri tries to avoid Juventus mistakes and end the crisis

The pressure has increased on the Italian head coach and he is trying to avoid repeating the mistakes of his team.

Juventus coach Max Allegri claimed that his team must do more to avoid the mistakes that have been made since the beginning of the season.

The Bianconeri have experienced 4 defeats in their 12 games this season and must win against Maccabi Haifa to keep their chances of promotion to the next stage of the Champions League alive. They picked up their first European win of the season last week against Maccabi 3-1 at the Allianz Stadium and will pile on the pressure on group leaders Benfica and Paris Saint-Germain if they pick up three points tomorrow.

He said:

“It’s going to be a tough game, they showed good things here and played well against PSG. We must be careful, we can’t commit the same mistakes again.

“We need to play as a unit, the game against Milan was similar to the one against Benfica, where we could have scored the second goal,” said Allegri.

“We must improve and be more solid, which is the easiest and most obvious thing to do.

“Right now, we must do something more. Details make the difference, even just one centimetre. We need attention and passion.”

Allegri has been under intense pressure from fans and media since the beginning of the season. With the recent 2-0 defeat against Milan, the gap between Juve and the top of the table has reached 10 points and the pressure on the Italian coach has increased. The Italian added:

“We have a chance to return to the pitch immediately.

He added:

“The previous two victories were misleading and we need reality and practical things. It’s a path that we must take. There are strong teams, but we can’t make certain errors, we must avoid the repeated mistakes we’ve made since the start of the season.

“We must be aware of the importance of tomorrow’s match, fight on every ball, and do simple things.

“We need heart and passion, it’s a part of a path after many years of victories. We put in all our love and the passion that Juventus deserve, but we must do more and more, regain self-esteem and return to the previous standards.”
