Nkunku to Chelsea: The Frenchman had a medical test for The Blues

Christopher Nkunku underwent a medical test with Chelsea in August, but a potential transfer for the RB Leipzig attacker has yet to be finalized.

Christopher Nkunku

is one of several forwards on Chelsea's radar, with new co-owner

Todd Boehly

eager to continue spending money to provide manager

Graham Potter

with a squad capable of challenging Premier League and Champions League titles.

It turns out that Nkunku has already undergone a medical with Chelsea, but sources close to the 24-year-old are convinced that no transfer agreement has been made, and there is no assurance that a move would ever materialize.

Medical examinations have provided

Chelsea

with a better idea of whether to pursue a transfer in 2023 when a £58 million release clause in his contract becomes active.

Importantly, sources on both sides of the talks emphasize that Chelsea and Nkunku have not agreed to personal terms, and Blues sources add that there has also been no transfer money agreement.

However, Chelsea are among numerous clubs interested in triggering Nkunku's release clause. The

France

international ascended to prominence last season with 20 goals and 15 assists in 34 Bundesliga matches. He has continued his impressive play with four goals in seven games this season. A transfer to Stamford Bridge for Nkunku in 2023 is possible, but it is pretty unlikely at this point in the season.
