Mbappe: "I have more freedom in France, but In Paris, it's different"

Kylian Mbappe has criticized Paris Saint-Germain by stating that he has "more freedom" playing for France as opposed to when he is playing for his club.

France defeated

Austria

2-0 on Thursday in the

Nations League

thanks to goals from Mbappe and

Olivier Giroud

. His several passes to the

AC Milan

striker showed they were in sync throughout the game.

After contributing to a victory, Mbappe said that playing for PSG is "different" since he doesn't have the same freedom of movement he enjoys for France.

"I play differently [with France]. I am asked other things here compared to with my club. I have a lot more freedom here. The coach knows that there is a number 9 like Oliv' who occupies the defences and I can walk around and go into space. In Paris, it's different, there isn't that. I am asked to do the pivot, it is different,"

he was quoted by L'Equipe.

Despite signing a two-year extension with PSG (with an additional year's option), Mbappe's latest dig at the club suggests he is not completely at ease in Paris, especially in the wake of his penalty dispute with

Neymar

.

It was reported that Mbappe had become envious of Neymar's standing in the locker room, and Mbappe's coach, Christophe Galtier, was forced to downplay the incident. Mbappe hopes to continue his hot scoring streak in the final matchday of the league stage of the Nations League when France takes on

Denmark
