Atletico fans target Vinicius and Rodrygo for their goal celebration

Atletico Madrid supporters chanted offensive words to the Brazil international ahead of their derby at the Civitas Metropolitano.

Vinicius Junior

became the target of Atletico Madrid supporters before their battle against Real Madrid on Sunday as the fans threw things on the pitch when he was celebrating the opening goal scored by Rodrygo. Due to agent Pedro Bravo’s racial comments on El Chiringuito, the football TV show, the Brazilian became the focus of the pre-match reports.

Bravo targeted the player’s way of celebrating after a goal, saying that he should “stop playing the monkey”. Many football greats started to support Vinicius and Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus did a similar celebration to back his international teammate on Sunday.

Although he has received a lot of support from fans and colleagues, some Atletico Madrid supporters sang offensive chants, subjecting the Brazil international.

When Rodrygo met the back of the net for Real Madrid, Vinicius and the goal-scorer celebrated the goal by dancing. During their celebration, some objects were thrown from the stands.
