Chelsea owner promised Hudson-Odoi a return to Stamford Bridge

The English star left Chelsea on loan, but the owner of the club has promised him that he will return to the Premier League at the end of the season.

Callum Hudson-Odoi

has claimed that Todd Boehly has told him he will return to

Chelsea

after completing his loan move to

Bayer Leverkusen

.

The 21-year-old midfielder, who did not get a chance at Stamford Bridge under Thomas Tuchel, joined Leverkusen on loan from Chelsea in August. After his transfer to the Bundesliga, the English midfielder has played in three games for his team and recorded one assist. Todd Boehly believes that Chelsea have lost big talents like Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne in recent years and don't want that to continue, so there is no buyout clause in Hudson-Odoi's loan deal for the Bundesliga side. And Chelsea's new owner has promised the English star to return to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

Hudson-Odoi said: "It's definitely different. When a club is trying to get a player [on loan], they always want that option to buy at the end of the season. Todd was saying:

'Listen, we want you back here.'

"You're still on the radar of being wanted by the club. The way he's trying to set it up, there are a lot of young players he's trying to buy for the next few years.

"It shows he wants to integrate the players into the team and help them develop."

Many stars such as Tammy Abraham, Fikayo Tomori and Jamal Musiala have left Chelsea on loan in recent seasons to have more opportunities to play and this decision has helped their football progress a lot and Odoi is aware of this.

He added:

"It's good for young talents to come here, play games and experience something new," he added. "Sometimes you're from London, you want to stick to that.

"But it's time to come and develop, try something new and be open to it."
