Atletico & Barcelona set to reach a new agreement over Griezmann

The French star has played less than 30 minutes in each match since joining Atletico Madrid and it seems that this problem will be solved with the agreement.

Mundo Deportivo claimed that

Atletico Madrid

and

Barcelona

have reached an agreement to reduce the transfer fee of

Antoine Griezmann

to Madrid.

It was reported last week that the Blaugrana are planning to sue Atletico for breaching an agreement reached over the transfer of Griezmann. According to the agreement, if the French star plays in 50% of the games he is fit to play, Atleti will have to pay them 40 million euros, and Atlético believe that they will only have to pay this amount if Griezmann plays in 50% of the minutes he is available for

Therefore, Diego Simeone has sent the 31-year-old star to the field for less than 30 minutes in Atlético's matches. Therefore, the two clubs have entered into negotiations to solve the problem. It is said that Barcelona have agreed to reduce the transfer fee to 25 million euros, and thus, Atletico can play Griezmann from the beginning of the game.

Griezmann has played in 5 La Liga games for Atlético and scored 2 goals. He also played against Porto in the Champions League and scored one of his team's goals in a 2-1 win.
