Juventus signed Leandro Paredes on a season-long loan deal from Paris Saint-Germain this summer. The deal includes an obligation to buy if certain goals are achieved, the reported fee is said to be €22.6m with a further €3m in add-ons.
Upon arriving atJuventus

revealed the key role thatAngel Di Maria
played in convincing him to join Juventus. Paredes and Di Maria spent several years together both at PSG andArgentina
national team before they became teammates again this summer at the Bianconeri.
The Argentine midfielder said:
“Since I learned that Di Maria would end up at Juve, we started talking. I did everything to come.
"I have already told [him] that he has to stay another year. And I hope to convince him.
“We’ve been friends for many years, our families and children are also very close. Being with him in the same team again is special.”
On his dream move to Juve, the formerRoma
midfielder earlier said:
“I am truly happy to be here, this is a club I always wanted to join, so I am happy.
“Juve was the team of my dreams. I had the opportunity many years ago and didn’t want to miss out again. I told my friends and family: ‘It’s Juve or nothing.’”
