Manchester City starlet Phil Foden hails 'unbelievable' Mikel Arteta

Serving as Pep Guardiola's assistant at Manchester City for three and a half years before being appointed as Arsenal boss in 2019, the Spaniard played a huge role in Foden’s development as the youngster established himself as one of the best Premier League midfielders through the past seasons.

Being asked about

Mikel Arteta

, the 22-year-old told

“Unbelievable, I remember working with him closely after training on some things I needed to improve. I know how good he can be as a coach. He’s definitely a great coach.”

then was asked whether he will be watching Amazon's “Arsenal's All or Nothing”, a critically-acclaimed series that shows behind-the-scenes footage of

Arsenal’s

memorable 2021/22 season.

"Yeah I’d be interested. Especially when they did it on us (City), it was so good to watch. So I definitely think I will have a watch of that and see what it’s like for them and see what’s the difference with us and them.”

 

Earlier this week, Arsenal Under-18 coach

Jack Wilshere

also praised Arteta's coaching style.

“Playing with [Arteta], he was a guy who was very focused, very intelligent with the way he trained. As a coach he is very similar. He is very intense, very hands on with the players and trying different things, new techniques to try to help them. I like it. He's a modern coach,”
