Chelsea make their first offer for Barcelona's Aubameyang

Chelsea has made their first offer to Barcelona for star forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

According to The Athletic,

Chelsea

has made the first official bid for their top target

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

. Their offer is believed to be €18 million and Marcos Alonso.

Athletic says

Barcelona

has not responded to their offer yet and personal terms with the 33-year-old striker would be no issue.

Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano claims that Aubameyang has already agreed on personal terms with Chelsea yesterday night. Reports suggested that Aubameyang could earn up to double his current salary at Chelsea.

The Spanish press claims that Barcelona wants to sign Alonso from Chelsea but they will not accept a player plus cash offer for Aubameyang even if it involves Alonso. Aubamayang prefers to stay at Camp Nou but they are willing to sell him due to their financial situation and therefore he is open to joining Chelsea.

Aubamayang joined Barcelona from Arsenal last January on a three-year deal. He scored 13 goals in 24 appearances last season. The Gabon international during his five-year spell at Arsenal scored 92 goals in 162 matches. He won the FA Cup with Arsenal in 2020.
