Barcelona president Laporta: We want to keep De Jong
Barcelona president Joan Laporta once again insists they want to keep midfielder Frenkie De Jong.

Barcelonabut the player so far has refused to leave the Catalan club.
According to the English press, Manchester United still is hopeful about the signing of Barcelona's Frenkie de Jong. United have alternatives to De Jong but at the moment they are still waiting for De Jong's decision.
Barcelone president Laporta before a friendly match against Pumas UNAM on Sunday told reporters that they want to keep De Jong.
Laporta said:
“Frenkie’s our player and we want him to stay at Barcelona, he wants to stay too”.
“With him and his teammates, we have a very powerful midfield. He has offers, but we want him to stay”
Laporta also said he still has a good relationship with Lionel Messi's family and announced they are close to signing another player.
He said:
“I’ve a good relationship with Leo Messi’s family. Umiti and Braithwaite? Both now understand that it’s time to join another club”.
“We will complete one more signing with an agreement in principle."
Barcelona is close to signing Marcos Alonso from Chelsea after he was left out of Chelsea's squad on Saturday.
