Xavi believes Messi's return to Barcelona 'impossible'
The Argentine star left Barca last summer and the Spanish coach is not considering a possible return.

Barcelona, and also rejected comparisons between himself and the legendary Blaugrana coaches.
After 21 years at Camp Nou, Messi left the club as a free agent in August 2021 and joined
Paris Saint-Germainas a free agent. However, the six-time Ballon d'Or winner had his worst season since 2006-06 when he was just 18 years old. There is only one more year left on Messi's contract and Joan Laporta did not rule out the possibility of Messi's return recently, but this matter is over for Xavi.
He said:
"He has a contract and it's impossible right now," Xavi said, looking ahead to Barca's friendly with Juventus in Dallas on Tuesday.
"Messi is the best footballer in the world and in history. President Laporta already said that Messi's story with Barca is not over, but now is not the time to talk about it."
Asked about his comparison with the great coaches in the history of the club, Xavi said:
"I don't have the idea of equalling Pep, what I want is for Barca to win.
"It's not a question of ego, I don't want to beat Pep or Johan or anyone. On the contrary, I have nurtured myself from them, I am a student of theirs.
"My dream is to return Barca to the top of the world."
